Reasons to Re-install Windows

If, after performing a full un-install and re-install of Evidence Eliminator™, the software will not start or we have advised you that your Windows is corrupted, you will have to reinstall Windows. There are two ways you can do this:

Slightly corrupt Windows installation (common)

Quick Re-install: Run ScanDisk. Run Windows Setup from your Windows CD-Rom to replace and refresh your Windows installation. Then re-install Evidence Eliminator™. If it still won't start or perform correctly...

Very corrupt Windows installation (unfortunately too common)
and / or faulty hard drive formatting
and / or corrupt filenames which Scandisk cannot detect or fix

Diagnosis: Your Windows installation is damaged beyond repair. This is unfortunately common, a result of the complexity of windows, and the repeated installation/uninstallation of poor-quality programs which damage Windows. Corrupt Windows environments account for most weird, unexplainable, unrepeatable problems with most programs.

Sorry, none of these are conclusive of a healthy Windows installation. Windows is a very complicated operating system consisting of thousands of different data components, database entries and functions. Many poor-quality programs available on the Internet are written by inexperienced programmers - sometimes by children. When you install software it often 'hacks' parts of Windows which you cannot see on the surface. Because Evidence Eliminator™ is a very powerful program it can show up defects which other programs do not. If Evidence Eliminator™ will not run on your PC, the Windows installation is seriously damaged and the filesystem is possibly corrupt. 

We promise you that on a clean, fresh installation of Windows, Evidence Eliminator™ works perfectly, and that you will enhance your performance and dependability of your Windows installation by a fresh install.

Cure: Backup your data. Re-format your C: drive and install Windows fresh. Immediately re-install Evidence Eliminator™. It should now install and run perfectly. Many companies do this re-installation routine every 6 months because of Windows instability and the way Windows tends to get cluttered up over a period of use. Cleaning and re-installing every few months makes Windows run faster and more reliably.
