000165 - Windows Installer running when Evidence Eliminator™ starts

If you are having problems with a windows installer launching when you start Evidence Eliminator™:

This problem appears to be an issue with VBA and the Windows Installer service. The problem can be identified as follows:-

When Evidence Eliminator is run, a windows installer, most commonly Office Installer also starts.

This problem can be fixed by deleting a registry key from the registry.

a) Download the following registry fix and run it.

b) For advanced users who are familiar with the system registry and do not wish to download the reg file: Open c:\windows\regedit.exe and remove or rename the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software\Microsoft\Installer
